Lawyer Ylli Manjani has commented on Euronews Albania on the clash between Adriatik Lapaj and Endrit Shabani for the sole mandate won by the "Shqipëria Bëhet" coalition in the May 11 elections.
Manjani has been very harsh with both of them, calling this situation an insult to the voters who trusted them. According to him, both Lapaj and Shabani have mocked and insulted their 60,000 voters.
"In addition to recreating the scene from the movie Paths of War, where Kanani and Shabani fight, they are characters who create that atmosphere of the national liberation war, this is an extraordinary farce! Both gentlemen have made a serious – and very serious – mockery of their voters, because they have done that idiotic, farce. They have included in the lists deputies who were supposed not to be deputies. This is a mockery, no less and no more. A serious political party does not enter the elections with some deputies who resign without entering the elections, and with some others who are above them – and what's more, they are family members! What a shame to give power to these people… they put all their family members to work. Look how serious they are: one more farce than the other. They have made a serious – and very serious – mockery of those 60 thousand people who went and voted for them. This is a mockery. This is not serious. And praise God that they have received "just a mandate that no one needs," said Manjani.
Manjani described candidate Zeqir Kordhoni as the brains of the man, because according to him, with his actions he showed the public who Lapaj and Shabani are.
"And you want the truth? That Zeqiri is the man who pulled out these two's legs, because he exposed a very serious electoral fraud in the eyes of the public. These people do not deserve to be in politics for what they have done - because they have lied, they have deceived 60 thousand people. And it is not a little! This is electoral fraud. And Zeqiri is the denouncer of this fraud. Because of this fraud, of course this mandate does not belong to Adriatik Lapaj. These people were also fools in the campaign. We will take them by the throat, we will break the system, we will make mistakes, this one would sell oil... And these today's scoundrels are not accidental," said Manjani.
