Democratic MP Jorida Tabaku addressed Prime Minister Edi Rama during her speech in the Parliament in the early hours of today, referring to the protests that have been taking place for 110 days and the protesters' demand for the Prime Minister's resignation.
Tabaku asked Rama to confront the protesters and listen to their demands. She added that the demand that, according to her, is being articulated by the citizens in protest is the resignation of the Prime Minister.
"First of all, it takes a lot of courage when you have protesters at your door for 110 days and say 'kick us out'. Try going out there, because they've tried it here too and they've dragged them away."
Secondly, instead of listening and taking as alarm bells what the people there are asking for, you behave again with the same arrogance that brought those people to the square.
"Today, the citizens have a call and the call is 'Rama, resign.' Listen to him, since you listened to the crowd, and implement their demands," said Tabaku.
