Adelina Ismaili: They eavesdropped on me illegally, I didn't leave the house for three months

In a confession on the "Zë me Miran" podcast, Adelina Ismaili shared a dark period in her life, when, despite her fame and great success, she faced brutal attacks because of her political beliefs and support for the party of Ibrahim Rugova. At the height of her popularity, Adelina was targeted, but things took a serious turn when she learned that her private conversations were being illegally tapped.
" The guy who worked at the post office showed me, making me promise that I would never talk, but now that that time has passed, we can talk. He told me that my and mom's conversations were being tapped. A very personal conversation between me and mom, which had nothing unusual, was published on the pages of a well-known newspaper in Kosovo, now one of the biggest portals ," Adelina recalled.
This intimate conversation, which spoke about a completely private and feminine subject, was brutally twisted to create a sensational and vulgar headline. Adelina said that after this episode, she could not leave the house for three months.
" I didn't go to school, I couldn't see my professors. I locked myself in the room, did not raise the curtains for three months. My mother used to bring food to my room. It was a very difficult period because I felt that all boundaries had been violated, " she said.
This episode left deep traces in the life of the singer, who even today finds it difficult to recall that time.
