Demi Lovato congratulates Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco on their engagement: I couldn't be happier for them

Singer Demi Lovato has expressed her joy and support for Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco following the news of their engagement.
During the "Watch What Happens Live" show on Sept. 16, Demi, 33, spoke briefly about Gomez, also 33, and producer Benny Blanco, 37, to whom Selena has been engaged since December 2024.
Lovato was asked about Selena's comments during a podcast in July, where she mentioned the success of other Disney Channel stars, like the Jonas Brothers, Miley Cyrus and Demi Lovato herself. "It was so sweet," Demi said of Selena's words.
She added that she "couldn't be happier for Selena and Benny" and wished the best for the couple and their upcoming wedding.
Demi also revealed that he has listened to their latest album, "I Said I Love You First," and really liked it, highlighting the song "Bluest Flame" as one of his favorites.
A friendship that started since childhood
Demi and Selena have known each other since childhood, when they were just 7 years old and starred in the children's series "Barney & Friends." Later, both became Disney Channel stars, Demi in "Sonny With a Chance" and Selena in "Wizards of Waverly Place." They also worked together in the film "Princess Protection Program" in 2009.
