Renowned Albanian actress Ana Lika has shared a rare and touching story about one of the most difficult periods of her life.
After losing her mother, Ana Lika has revealed that she faced a serious health and emotional crisis, which coincided with the time she learned that she would become a mother.
"After my mother's death, I was diagnosed with a neurological problem, a form of epilepsy," Ana said on the show "Mam," adding that she had experienced an epileptic seizure for the first time during her daughter's first checkup.
She admitted that for a long time she was afraid to publicly admit the illness, as she did not want her daughter to have an incompetent mother.
"While doing the ultrasound, I had a crisis. I was afraid to show that I was sick. Not because I felt sorry for myself, but because I didn't want my daughter to have an incompetent mother," she said.
Due to medication treatment, the actress says she made the decision not to breastfeed her daughter Marvel.
She also spoke about her relationship with her partner, Bjordi, where she told him about the disease for the first time and even asked him if he wanted to be together again.
" I asked him if he wanted to stay with me. I wanted to know if I weighed him down. I didn't want to be a burden to anyone," she said, describing Bjordi as her "pillar," while expressing herself: " Maybe I'm Bjordi's help, exactly."
