"We were manipulated"/ Cascio family comes out with accusations against Michael Jackson

Four of the five Cascio siblings have come out publicly with accusations against Michael Jackson, years after claiming they were trained to defend him.
In an interview with The New York Times on April 24, Aldo, Eddie, Dominic and Marie Nicole recounted their complicated relationship with the singer, claiming they were sexually abused as children. They, who often called themselves Jackson's "second family," have also filed a lawsuit against his estate.
According to them, in addition to the abuse, they were manipulated and "trained" as "soldiers" to protect him from public accusations. For years, before and after his death, they denied any accusations against him, including in an appearance on Oprah Winfrey's show.
"They brainwashed us, they manipulated us," Eddie said, adding that Jackson had taught everyone to react in his defense whenever the allegations were mentioned.
The Cascio children were introduced to Jackson through their father in the 1980s, and then began to frequently visit his Neverland ranch, even alone.
Meanwhile, Frank Cascio – the only one who did not join the lawsuit – stated in his 2011 book that Jackson had done nothing inappropriate towards them.
Some of them say they only later understood the nature of the situation, especially after watching the 2019 documentary Leaving Neverland, which dealt with similar allegations by other people.
After a settlement in 2020, the Cascio family received about $16 million in total. But after payments ended in 2025, they sought additional compensation, taking the case to court.
On the other hand, Jackson's estate lawyer, Marty Singer, has described the accusations as "an attempt for financial gain," emphasizing that the family has defended the singer for more than 25 years and their current statements contradict previous ones.
The case is still pending, with a judge hinting that a previous agreement could prevent them from continuing the lawsuit.
