Labubu, the toy that is being secured as a valuable asset by young people

An unusual trend is circulating among the younger generation: Labubu toys are being treated as real possessions – so much so that some young people have considered insuring them against theft.

A report published by insurance company PassportCard reveals that 1 in 3 Gen Z and Millennials have considered taking out travel insurance just to protect their Labubu. This small collectible figure, which has become an object of affection for many fans, is increasingly associated with the care usually reserved for high-value items.

The fear of theft has meant that Labubu is no longer just a toy, but an emotional and economic symbol that is being treated as a "personal treasure."
