MrBeast breaks new world record, surpasses 400 million subscribers on YouTube

Jimmy Donaldson, known to global audiences as MrBeast, has achieved another incredible milestone, becoming the first YouTube content creator to surpass 400 million subscribers on his main channel. The impressive milestone was officially achieved on June 1, 2025, solidifying MrBeast’s position as the platform’s absolute leader. The gap with the second-place finisher on the list, Indian music channel T-Series, exceeds 100 million subscribers, reflecting the overwhelming appeal of his channel.
With an average of almost 350,000 new subscribers per day, MrBeast has experienced explosive growth. Notably, in January 2025 alone, he had 341 million followers and within six months had well surpassed the 400 million barrier.
In a social media post, the creator thanked his audience, recalling his decade-long journey and the criticism he faced in his early days. “Ten years ago, many considered my obsession with YouTube to be madness. Today, this passion has led me to something I never imagined,” he wrote.
MrBeast has managed to redefine online content, with great productions, creative challenges and strong philanthropic actions. His impact has now gone beyond YouTube: he hosts a show on Amazon Prime Video, while also operating in the hospitality and food industry with his own businesses.
His journey on YouTube began in 2012, when he was just 13 years old. At the time, he was posting gaming content and videos about the fortunes of various YouTubers. The launch came in 2017 with a 24-hour video challenge, in which we see him counting to 100,000, a video that went viral. A few weeks later, he had already surpassed 600,000 subscribers.
