On Saturday, May 10, Gjilan turned into a city of mourning. Hundreds of people gathered to bid farewell to the famous Kosovar fashion designer, Festim Isufi, who passed away under still unclear circumstances just a day earlier, in his apartment in Pristina.
The ceremony was sadly attended by public figures, close colleagues and fashionistas who had closely followed his creative journey. But what attracted the most attention was the presence of his wife, Rina Maloku – with one detail that could not escape the public eye: her bandaged hand.
Her appearance immediately opened the door to suspicions. Was Rina injured during a collision with Festim? Had something dramatic happened a few hours before the stylist's death? Unofficial sources hint at a conflict in the couple, which may have preceded the tragic act suspected of suicide, but authorities have not yet confirmed anything official.
Emotions were palpable in every corner of the ceremony. Renowned model Agnesa Vuthaj, one of Festimi's closest collaborators, appeared tearful and deeply moved by the loss of her friend. "A void that cannot be filled," she is said to have said quietly.
