Eminem's 'stalker' sentenced to 30 years in prison after breaking into rapper's home for second time
Matthew Hughes, 32, was sentenced to 15 to 30 years in prison for trespassing and 3 to 7 1/2 years for aggravated stalking of rapper Eminem. The sentences will run consecutively.
This is the second time Hughes has broken into the rapper's home. In the first incident in 2020, Eminem found the stalker standing over him in the middle of the night and Hughes claimed he had entered to kill him.
After a plea deal, he was then sentenced to five years of probation, but was arrested again for assault and sent to prison. After being released on bail in May of last year, he returned to the rapper's house a few months later.
The court also banned her from any contact with Eminem and imposed a protection order, preventing her from coming closer than 500 meters from his home or workplace.
