Depopulation/Vlora with lowest university enrollments ever

"Ismail Qemali" University in Vlora starts this new academic year with nearly 55% of student registration quotas filled, thus marking the lowest average number of students enrolled in study programs.
Branches such as teaching, physics, chemistry and mathematics are at minimum student enrollment quotas while still risking closure. There are still a few days to complete the 3rd phase of registrations which started on October 12 and ends on November 3, but in Vlora the lowest average number of students in recent years is recorded.
This year, the University of Vlora had about 1200 free quotas for new registrations in academic programs, as it is learned that the number of registered students does not exceed 700 students.
The branches of highest interest are nursing with 240 quotas and engineering branches. There is a shortage of lecturers in many fields of study. There is still no information on what will be done with the teaching, chemistry, mathematics and physics study programs if these numbers continue, as some of them are national priorities.
