This Wednesday is considered by weather forecasters as the hottest day of the year in our country, as the thermometer is expected to reach a maximum value of up to 42 degrees Celsius. Through a post on social networks, the Media and Information Agency has advised citizens to avoid going out during rush hours, stay in cool environments, drink as much water as possible, and take special care of children and the elderly.

In the announcement, MIA calls for immediate assistance if a person feels weak, confused, or has other symptoms from the heat.

Today is expected to be the hottest day of the year in Albania, with temperatures that in some areas could reach up to 42°C.

To better cope with the heat:

Drink water often, even if you don't feel thirsty.

Avoid sun exposure and physical activity during the hottest hours.

Dress lightly, in loose-fitting clothes and light colors.

Stay in cool environments and keep living spaces as cool as possible.

Take special care of children and the elderly.

Do not leave children or other people in parked vehicles, even for a few minutes.

Don't forget the animals – provide them with fresh water and a shady space.
