Dragan Stojković, the coach of the Serbian national football team, spoke openly to the French newspaper L'Équipe about his position after the European Championship in Germany, the pressures he faces as a coach, but also his personal motives and attitude towards work.
Stojković revealed that immediately after the championship ended, he offered his resignation to the Football Federation of Serbia.
"After the European Championship, I proposed to leave the Federation. They told me: no, we will continue," Stojković told French newspaper L'Équipe.
Speaking about the pressure he faces in the public eye, especially in the age of social media, the Serbian coach openly admitted how cruel this dynamic is, while tomorrow afternoon he and the Serbian national team will arrive in Tirana for the June 7 match at the "National Arena" against the Rossoneri.
