Lara Kolturi excelled at the Winter Olympics, in the first round of the girls' giant slalom.

The Italian skier representing Albania stopped at 1:03:97, placing fourth.

Expectations for a historic medal were high, but she failed to give her best in the second attempt and consequently finished the race in 16th place.

The other Albanian skier, Semire Dauti, put in a good performance and finished the race in 44th place. The race was won by Italian Federika Brinjones, who takes her second gold medal at Milano Cortina 2026.
