Leganes drops out of La Liga, Plum Espanyol escapes in the final week

In the last week of La Liga, the third team that will play the new season in the Segunda Division has been determined and it is Leganes, despite winning 3-0 at home against Valladolid.

On the other hand, the most endangered team was Espanyol, who won 2-0 at home against Las Palmas.

Juan Puado opened the scoring in the 65th minute from the penalty spot, which was won after Alejo Veliz was fouled inside the area.

The goal that sealed the victory was scored by Pere Milla in the 82nd minute, after an assist from Juan Puado. Espanyol won 2-0 and secured their ticket to La Liga for the new season.

Marash Kumbulla was absent for the Catalans today due to bookings, but the red and black defender has had a fantastic season at Espanyol, where he was loaned from Roma for a season.

Leganes, despite winning 3-0, ends the season in 18th place with 40 points, and joins Las Palmas and Valladolid, who will play in the Segunda Division next season.
