Sergio Ramos: Club World Cup a chance to promote soccer in the US

There are 10 days left until the start of the 32-team FIFA Club World Cup.
For a full month, the attention of the soccer world will be focused on the innovative tournament, which will be played in up to 12 different stadiums in the United States.
"It's a great success to promote football in this country and achieve the fanaticism of European and Latin American teams," says Sergio Ramos, referring to the growing, but still discreet, passion of American citizens for the sport.
The Spanish defender of Rayados Monterrey talks about the competition that the NFL, NBA and NHL represent for a booming sport like soccer, but emphasizes that the choice of dates for this tournament will help many local fans get hooked and follow it with interest.
"It's very positive for us to play in Los Angeles, where there is a large community of Mexican fans who will support us in the stadium in every game," said the Spaniard who plays for the Mexicans, certain that he would see the stands at the Rose Bowl in Los Angeles packed.
"The feeling of love and support from our fans will be very important, and even if we play away from home, we may have more fans on our side than our opponents."
