Openda is unlocked, Juventus beats Roma

Juventus's show of strength, winning the direct confrontation for a place in the Champions League against Roma. The Bianconeri win and convince, thanks to goals from Conceicao and Openda (his first goal in Serie A). Valuable for Gasperini's team remains Baldanzi's goal, which only served to narrow the gap. Spalletti "closes" Gasperini tactically and the match ends 2-1.

Despite securing the three points, the Bianconeri remain in fifth place in the standings, but are now only four points behind Serie A leaders Inter.

Luciano Spalletti's side will face relegation-threatened Pisa away next week in the league. Meanwhile, Roma remain in fourth place and will look to return to winning ways in Serie A when they host Genoa on Monday 29 December.
