Dramatic incident on Flydubai flight FZ1073, which was traveling from Dubai to Tel Aviv, but was forced to make an emergency landing in Saudi Arabia after an incident in the cockpit. The plane landed at Tabuk airport, while footage published by Israeli media shows passengers clapping and singing, visibly relieved after the plane touched down.
The flight had transmitted a distress signal, causing alarm among Israeli authorities, who initially considered the possibility of a hijacking of the plane.

One of the passengers, identified only as Meital, told Israel's Channel 12 that a crew member in the cockpit had tried to cause the plane to crash and that passengers intervened to stop him.
She said her husband was among those involved in neutralizing him. “Someone shouted ‘knife’ and my husband immediately realized what was happening. He ran to the front of the plane and together with other Israelis neutralized the terrorist,” she said. “There were knife wounds and a lot of blood,” the woman added, describing the condition of the passengers after the incident. “We are very stressed and under a lot of pressure. It is very difficult for me to speak,” she said.
Another passenger, in a video sent to his family, spoke of a person he described as a “terrorist” who, according to him, had tried to take control of the plane. He said that he had participated in the efforts to immobilize him and that the person was tied up. According to Channel 12, a group of pilots who were traveling as passengers, dressed in civilian clothes, were also on board the plane. According to Israeli media reports, they helped to cope with the situation and prevent one of the pilots from taking control of the plane. The mother of one of the passengers also gave the same information in her statements to Ben Gurion Airport.
