Veliaj gets the Socialists into trouble, Bledi Çuçi demands the resignation of the Minister of Justice

Erion Veliaj's transfer to Fier ignites clashes within the Socialist Party. According to reports, during a meeting of the Socialist parliamentary group, Bledi Çuçi held Justice Minister Toni Gogu accountable for the documentation of the transfer of the former mayor of Tirana.

" Where is your transfer letter? You should have received it before you came in. If you don't have it, resign!" - Çuçi is reported to have told the minister.

The Veliaj case has reignited debates about transfer procedures, isolation conditions, and institutional accountability, highlighting reported tensions between groups within the Socialist Party.

So far, there is no official confirmation that the SP has requested Toni Gogu's resignation as a political entity, but Veliaj seems to be increasing support within the SP group.
