Pastor Akil Pano and at the same time the head of the Pro-Family Coalition, was today invited to a television program where he commented on the same-sex 'marriage' on the terrace of the Tirana municipality and the surrogacy bill.
The pastor says that 'marriage' is just a show.
' I wouldn't call it marriage. I have to fulfill two issues, firstly legal, the Albanians have decided that marriage will remain as we know it. Marriage is a civil union between a man and a woman. Here we are dealing with an alienation. In the religious dimension we are not dealing with a marriage.
Marriage is defined equally, the union of a man and a woman. There is no religious or legal marriage. We are dealing with a show, with a big brother, an attempt to impose a foreign culture on the local culture, which is not compatible with the religious space. They want to impose on our world the thought that there can be that of the same gender on Tuesday,' said the pastor.
On the other hand, according to Akil Panos, the "marriage" is not even legitimized by the presence of pastors, since there are many charlatans in the world who wear the priest's rosary.
"There is violation of the family code, but also alienation of the religious conception of the family. No real pastor or cleric would dare to change the creed of faith, or the historical tradition of the church of 2 thousand years. There are many charlatans in the world who can wear a priest's scarf. This does not legitimize their activity. What legitimizes it is religious doctrine, church tradition, recognition of priestly credentials. This ceremony violates the dimension of religion', added Pano.
The pastor goes on to say that this battle for the family is worldwide, as a new unnatural way of life is being imposed on society.
' This is not a local battle. We realized this 3 years ago, where every May the agora of public debate is opened. Individuals are invited to various shows. The pastor then reveals that even during a consultation at the Ministry of Health, it was discovered that the law on surrogacy is protected and imposed by owners of private clinics and hospitals.
We as a family coalition have sent our requests to be part of the public consultation. A representative of ours was received at the Ministry of Health. It was done behind closed doors. The idea of public discussion fell. We understood that not only anti-human and anti-family law, but also clientelistic law. We were dealing with, on the one hand, the design of the laws, and were owners of private clinics or individuals indirectly involved in the surrogacy business. There are websites, there are 11 hospitals and clinics that offer surrogacy anywhere in the world and the invitation is open, come to Albania because surrogacy is cheap. Surrogacy happened even before the discussion about surrogacy came out in public.'
According to him, surrogacy is human trafficking and the EU also condemned this.
'Surrogacy is related to human trafficking. In the EU, it was voted against. In the ethical and moral dimension, as long as a price is placed on the human being, it loses its value. It will also be valid for stateless citizens. There are about 1 million refugees in Europe that no country will accommodate. They have no passports, no fingerprints. Why should it be possible even for stateless citizens? It seems to me a whole big agenda, a package where they all work together to support each other.'
