Accused of providing the conditions for the murder of the Bami brothers, GJKKO leaves Jozi Krajë in prison

The Special Court of First Instance for Corruption and Organized Crime has decided to continue the security measure "prison arrest" against the defendant Jozi Kraja.

According to the official media release, on January 27, 2026, the Special Prosecution Office against Corruption and Organized Crime (SPAK) submitted to the court the request for questioning and verification of the conditions and criteria for the implementation of the personal security measure, previously determined by decision no. 49, dated May 15, 2024.

At the end of the trial, the panel composed of Judge Erjon Çela, with decision no. 6, dated January 29, 2026, decided to continue the implementation of the coercive personal security measure "prison arrest", based on articles 112, 228, 229, 230, 238 and 248 of the Code of Criminal Procedure.

Jozi Kraja is accused of committing the criminal offenses "Providing conditions and material means to commit murder", to the detriment of citizens Durim Bami and Valter Bami, committed in collaboration in the form of a structured criminal group, as well as for the criminal offenses "Structured criminal group" and "Commitment of criminal offenses by a criminal organization and a structured criminal group", provided for by the relevant articles of the Criminal Code.

The court ordered the Judicial Police to immediately send the defendant to the detention facility to remain at the disposal of the proceeding body, and charged the SPAK and the judicial police with implementing the decision.

The court also decided that the defense attorney primarily assigned to Jozi Kraja should be compensated according to the fees provided for by law.
