SPAK has filed a complaint against former officials of the Ministry of Interior, who are accused of violating procedures and falsifying documents in the tenders for the reconstruction of four police stations, Vlora, Tirana (no. 4), Pogradec and Mirdita.

The prosecution requested a total of 11 years and 3 months in prison for the 15 defendants, while for the former officials, if only those are tried under a shortened procedure, the sentences will be reduced.

For 9 former officials, SPAK requested 9 months in prison, which will be reduced to 6 months due to the summary trial. For some of them, the suspended sentence foresees that they remain on probation for one year.

For the women included in the case, SPAK has requested that they not go to prison even if found guilty. For the men, including Blendi Kovi, 9 months in prison have been requested, which is reduced to 6 months by the summary trial.

Prosecutor Dorina Bejko also requested the removal of the right to exercise public functions for 5 years for all 15 defendants.

Meanwhile, the case against the former Secretary General of the Ministry of Interior, Plarent Ndreca, has been separated and he will be tried under ordinary procedure.

Former Interior Minister Sandër Lleshaj was also questioned in the investigations.

The tenders for the supervision of four police stations were worth around 555 thousand euros, and SPAK claims that procedural violations were committed to favor a certain company.
