Prison conversations/wiretapping, here's who Veliaj wants to go to his cell

What is being ascertained from the wiretaps of Mayor Erion Veliaj is shocking.

Everything we have covered so far, which will continue until the full publication of the wiretaps against Veliaj, shows how the media, MPs, journalists, and television stations are at the service of Veliaj in his harsh attacks on prosecutors and judges after his arrest.

In the materials obtained by CNA, it appears that the mayor was insistently demanding an exercise of pressure and a daily media campaign, as the decision expected to be made in the Appeal of the GJKKO was quite important and decisive for his freedom, as it depended on that session whether Veliaj would be released from prison or continue to remain in prison.

We saw how Veliaj had ordered his parliamentary friends to exert pressure on the justice institutions, the KLP and the ILD.

Now is the time to reveal another detail, which are the surprise names that emerge in the wiretaps that seem to be Veliaj's favorites to meet in prison.

In the intercepts obtained by CNA, on page 76 of the communications dated March 3, 2025, Veliaj, in a conversation with Ajola Xoxa, but which is then interrupted by his brother, Arbër Veliaj, asks the latter to speak to Klevis of the Prisons, and to tell him that Mero, Ylli Manjani, Mondi, Ton Gogu, Admiri, Sara (suspected to be Sara Goxhaj) can also go to the meeting with Erion, anyone else, but simply tell Klevis and he will give the OK. Veliaj tells them that he has an order to give.

"At 20:08, Erion Veliaj talks to Ajola, but at one point in their communication, Arbri intervenes. Erion asks Arbri to speak to Klevis of the Prisons, whose number Admir should have, and to tell him that Mero, Ylli Manjani, Mondi, Ton Gogu, Admir, Sara, anyone else can go to the meeting with Erion, but simply tell Klevis and he will give the OK."

He tells her that he has a message to deliver, and that representatives of religions can also attend the meeting. In communication, Erioni asks if they are dealing with 'things' or have completely forgotten about it.

Arbri informs him that they are dealing with the media every day. Erion Veliaj asks Arbri to deal with the media, as the pressure must be maintained (meaning the media campaign).

"At the end of the communication, Erion Veliaj asks him to send him Ilir Yzeiri's material to read, other news from portals, those that are spicy," the intercepts obtained by CNA state.

Leaving aside other names, like Gogu, Mero or Sara, who are clearly supporters of Veliaj, the surprise name, let's call it that, is Ylli Manjani, who has appeared alongside the opposition, but seems to have changed direction 180 degrees.

Manjani has long since changed direction.

It seems that after asking the leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, for a safe place for the lists in the May 11 elections and the opposition leader refused, Manjani has changed his position 180 degrees.

We recall that CNA previously reported that Manjani had softened his tone towards Prime Minister Edi Rama after the arrest of Erion Veliaj.

Manjani had already begun advising Prime Minister Rama and they are on the same page regarding the arrests and SPAK on why there are such strong repressive measures.

CNA also reported on an offer that Rama made to Ylli Manjani, an offer that was reviewed by him and rather than being rejected, it appears that Manjani does not meet the legal criteria.

The offer that Edi Rama made to Ylli Manjani is to take over the leadership of ILD, but the lawyer-analyst, who is also the legal defender of Pëllumb Gjoka's criminal group, has in fact said neither yes nor no, because its essential problem is Manjani's failure to meet the criteria./  CNA
