New details have been learned regarding the arrest of former RENEA officer Altin Morina, who was handcuffed yesterday evening.
It is learned that at the time of the arrest, another person was with him, and a firearm was also found with him.
It is also reported that Morina had false documents with her. We recall that Morina was wanted since May 17, 2024 as part of Operation Revanshi.
"In the dynamics of the investigation of this criminal proceeding, evidence has been collected that creates reasonable suspicion that citizen Durim Bami, in collaboration with citizen Altin Morina (with effective duty of the "Renea" forces at the time of the crime) have organized the cultivation of narcotic plants in the Nikla and Tapiza area," the SPAK file states.
Morina was arrested in March 2023 after 113,000 euros were found in the car he was driving. The 43-year-old, who was the Head of the Training Department at the RENEA Forces, was handcuffed in the Kodra e Diellit area while driving this luxury vehicle. The considerable amount was found under the front seat wrapped in a plastic bag.
But a month later, he was released from prison after stating that he had borrowed the money from a businessman for a personal problem and that it was not generated by criminal activity.
