A serious incident occurred today in Italy, where an Albanian immigrant tragically lost his life after being hit by a train.
The incident occurred in Ancona, around 7:00 am, at the Pescara-Milan train station.
The victim is a 53-year-old Albanian man, whose identity has not yet been released. Railway police and firefighters went to the scene to rescue the pedestrian, but without success.
According to initial reports, the act was suspected to have been intentional. This is based on statements from a witness who saw the 53-year-old, who lived in Merano, deliberately fall onto the tracks as a Frecciarossa train was approaching from the south.
