Caught with 2 kg of cocaine, the Albanian is arrested in Germany

During a large-scale search operation, German police in Passau seized a significant amount of cocaine from a 48-year-old Albanian man on Wednesday.
Forces from the Passau border police station pulled over the driver of a Mercedes from the Rhein-Sieg district (NRË) as part of the search at the checkpoint at the Passau-Nord junction. When the vehicle was checked more closely, officers found over 2 kilograms of cocaine hidden in the trunk.
The 48-year-old was temporarily arrested and brought before the investigating judge at the Passau District Court on Thursday at the request of the Passau public prosecutor's office, on strong suspicion of illegal importation of cocaine.
An arrest warrant has been issued and the suspect is now in custody. Investigations by the police and the public prosecutor's office in Passau are ongoing.
