As a result of a defect, part of Tirana was left without electricity this evening, and power was also cut off in the intensive care unit of Mother Teresa Hospital.

In an official statement, the QSUT states that there was a power outage, but generators were activated, keeping vital equipment running and that the lives of patients were not affected.

The "Mother Teresa" University Hospital Center informs that this evening, due to a defect in the high-voltage electricity supply line that supplies Building A2 of the QSUT, there was a temporary power outage.

Immediately, medical, technical and management teams were put on full alert, acting according to safety protocols and providing any necessary support to guarantee health services and taking the necessary measures.

The University Hospital of Tirana assures citizens that the situation has been managed responsibly and professionally and that the institution remains fully prepared to deal with any situation, in order to protect the health and lives of patients.
