Will he take Greenland by force? How President Trump responds

US President Donald Trump declined to comment on Monday when asked if he would use force to take Greenland.

In a brief phone interview with NBC News, he responded curtly: "No comment."

Trump also expressed 100 percent confidence in continuing with his plans to hit European countries with tariffs if they do not take Greenland.

The US president reiterated his disappointment with Norway over the Nobel Peace Prize.

"Norway controls it completely, no matter what they say. They like to say they have nothing to do with it, but they have everything to do with it," he said.

He also expressed disappointment with European leaders who are focusing on Greenland, saying: "Europe should be focusing on the war with Russia and Ukraine, because, frankly, you see what it has brought them. That is where Europe should be focusing, not on Greenland."
