"We didn't have a knife!" - They raped the owner of a kebab shop

Two Albanian twins, aged 18, have been jailed by Italian authorities after being arrested as a result of the violence they inflicted on the owner of a kebab shop.

According to Italian media, Albanians were arrested a few days ago for robbing a kebab shop in the Via Guarneri del Gesù area and for attacking the owner.

Before the investigating judge and their lawyer, the two 18-year-olds stated that they had done nothing wrong and blamed the third arrestee, a 17-year-old Italian, who had been with them at a birthday party.

It is learned that the three arrested young men, along with several other boys, a group of four or five young men, including a girl, all drunk, headed to the kebab shop. According to the two Albanians, the first to enter was the 17-year-old, who started arguing with the owner, who did not want him to go to the toilet.

The situation became more heated after the kebab shop owner allegedly grabbed the minor by the arm, causing the young man to react, who punched him in the face.

"He wounded her with the rings," is the version of the two Albanians. "None of us had a knife," they said.

After the violence, the group fled towards the public gardens, where the police stopped the Italian and the two Albanians. The twins did not expect to be arrested and swear that they were not the ones who raped the owner.

Their lawyer, Guido Priori, had requested house arrest, but the judge ordered prison detention.

For the judge, the circumstantial evidence is heavy and the investigation is still ongoing. "The file did not contain any internal video of the kebab shop, but only some photos. The exact dynamics of what happened have not yet been determined," said the lawyer for the two Albanians, adding that they were not involved in the attack.
