"Parliament or the front line", Zelensky puts Ukrainian MPs before the elections: Decide how you will serve the country

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that Ukrainian MPs must choose between continuing to work in parliament or serving on the front lines, amid a war that has been going on for years.
In a statement, Zelensky said that since the start of the full-scale Russian invasion, some members of parliament have asked to resign. However, he said that during the state of emergency, parliament should continue to function fully.
"We are under a state of emergency and the state must be protected. Therefore, members of parliament must either serve in parliament in accordance with Ukrainian law, or we are ready to discuss changes to the mobilization law so that they can go to the front," he said.
The Ukrainian president stressed that in a time of war, every public official must contribute to the defense of the country. "If you don't serve the state in parliament, then serve the state on the front lines. This is my approach," Zelensky declared.
