A rock and debris slide has been recorded on the road connecting the Golloborda area with the Trebisht border crossing, which connects Albania with North Macedonia.
This road is vital for the residents of Golloborda in the Bulqiza Municipality, as through this border point they ensure the supply of food, fuel and provide health services, sending the sick to hospitals in Greater Dibra in North Macedonia.
According to residents, the stones and debris have been on the road for more than two weeks, without any intervention from the responsible institutions. The sightings are only a few meters away from the Trebisht border crossing, making the situation even more worrying.
Residents say that this is the only functional road for them, as the road connecting Golloborda with Bulqiza is extremely worn out and difficult to navigate. They are demanding urgent intervention to clear the road, as the risk of accidents is constant and hinders the normal movement of vehicles and citizens.
