Albanian youth caught with drugs and thousands of euros in England, sentenced to prison (NAME)

A 22-year-old Albanian man has been sentenced to 25 months in prison in the United Kingdom after being caught with narcotics hidden in a secret compartment under the seat of his car.

According to the Daily Mail, the citizen in question is Kelmend Tershalla, who was arrested on October 25 last year in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, after being stopped by police for a drug test.

During the search, officers discovered a hidden space under the front passenger seat, where quantities of cocaine and cannabis were found.

According to court documents, police seized cocaine divided into six individual bottles, 31 colored containers containing cannabis packaged by type, and five packets of e-cigarettes containing cannabis. They also found £319.47 in cash and a mobile phone, which was seized for examination.

The prosecution reported that most of the phone messages were in Albanian, while communications in English showed that the defendant received instructions to supply users with cocaine and cannabis, organizing the distribution of the drugs.

Initially, Tershalla did not give a statement to the police, while he later pleaded guilty to possession of class A drugs with intent to supply, possession of class B drugs with intent to supply, and possession of criminal property.

The defense attorney stated that the young man was remorseful and had admitted guilt at an early stage, emphasizing that the amount of money found did not indicate significant financial gain and that he had a lower role in the supply chain.

However, Judge Simon Dyer KC strongly criticised the defendant for the photos found on his phone, which showed him posing with money, drugs and weapons, describing it as an attempt to “show off”. The court stressed that, although this was his first conviction in Britain, any repeat offences would carry even more serious consequences.
