Fadil Tuzi's death in Tirana / Sister demands clarification of the

In September 2025, Fadil Tuzi, 39 years old from Shkodra, was found lying on the ground at the entrance of an abandoned building in the Allias area of Tirana, with injuries to the back of his head. He spent over 20 days in the Trauma Hospital and then passed away.

His sister, Esmeralda Koçi, is demanding a full investigation into the incident, suspecting that her brother was murdered. According to her, a person the victim was dating and a parallel relationship between his girlfriend and him may have been the cause of the incident.

"The brother was 39 years old, he worked wherever he could, sometimes with work and sometimes without, like everyone else. He was found lying on the ground, I don't know who dropped him. The brother had been living here for about three years, while his brother has been living in Tirana for over 20 years. He didn't express any kind of concern to me. I 100% suspect that it was a murder. The brother had had a relationship with a girl before. I think the perpetrator and the girl are related,"  says the victim's sister.

A witness stated that she found the victim at around 08:15, covered in blood, and that she had seen him a few days earlier in the company of a woman.

"I saw him two days ago, I saw him another day, he greeted me. I work shifts at the QSUT Hospital, but I was coming from the third shift and when I come here I see a man lying on the stairs. He looked a little bloody, but I didn't really notice him, I thought he was sleeping. He was drinking, I've seen him come with a girl a few times. The day he said to me 'how are you', he was with a woman. The doors here have been broken into, who doesn't come in and who doesn't come out, in pairs. Different people come here, those who use narcotics,"  the witness says to the microphone of "Stop".

Esmeralda Koçi adds that the brother was seen drinking coffee at a bar on "Rruga e Dibrës" on the night of the incident, and then went to another bar, which today surprisingly closed its shutters. She suspects that the people who owned this bar are the perpetrators, while the girl who was said to be accompanying the victim was a waitress. She further claims that there are video footage showing the suspects, while the police confirm the lack of functional cameras in the area.

"There are no cameras there, because we have done a procedure for that part. One, which is on the fifth floor, does not work, because the owner of the house had sold the house and taken it with all the DVR. There are none in the alley, because we have had many incidents there and they did not put them, because we have bothered them with cameras there and they have completely removed them. Nothing so far,"  says OPGJ.

Due to investigative secrecy, the Tirana Prosecution Office provides few details, but confirms that the case is being investigated for intentional murder, while the family is demanding a full investigation of all persons who had recent contact with the victim.
