Murder of businessman Ardian Nikulaj in Shëngjin, Portuguese murderer, Ruben Saraiva, sent for trial

The Lezha Court has accepted the prosecution's request to send Portuguese Ruben Saraiva, accused of the murder of businessman Ardian Nikulaj, to trial in Shëngjin.
The decision was made by Judge Renis Sheshi, who assessed that there was sufficient evidence to try Saraivan for the criminal offenses of "premeditated murder" and "unlicensed possession of weapons."
Ruben Saraiva has denied any connection to the murder of businessman Ardian Nikulaj, an event that occurred on April 19, 2023, in the premises owned by the victim, in Shëngjin.
The person who ordered this murder is suspected to be Edmond Haxhia, who was also arrested in England and is currently in the process of being extradited.
He is suspected of ordering the crime for blood feud motives, on behalf of his cousins, the Lekstakaj family.
