Murder of Ilaria Sula, Rome Court confirms arrest of ex-Filipino boyfriend

The Rome court confirmed today the arrest of Mark Antony Samson. The 23-year-old from the Philippines is accused of the murder of Ilaria Sula, the Albanian student.
The 22-year-old disappeared on March 25 in Rome and was found dead inside a suitcase on a cliff in Capranica Prenestina, east of the capital, on April 2.
The young man is accused of the crimes of intentional homicide due to an aggravated emotional relationship and concealing the corpse.
Further, investigators seized the author's computer during a search conducted by police officers at his home on via Homs, in the African neighborhood.
Investigators hope to find further evidence of other people involved or the role of Mark's family. His mother told Corriere della Sera that she did not want her son to constantly take Ilaria to their apartment.
Ilaria Sula was a student at the Faculty of Statistics at La Sapienza.
