Gun attack inside a school in Austria, 8 killed, perpetrator found dead

At least eight people have been killed in a shooting at a school in the Austrian city of Graz, the Austrian media outlet Kronen Zeitung reported.
The incident took place at the “BORG” high school. According to authorities, the attack occurred on Tuesday around 10:00 a.m. Numerous police forces have surrounded the area.
The death toll was reported by local media, while Interior Minister Gerhard Karner has yet to confirm it.
Several shots were heard inside the building, and the alarm was immediately raised. Currently, the school building is under control.
The attacker was reportedly found dead in one of the school's bathrooms. He was a student at Borg and, as reported by the Kronen Zeitung, considered himself a victim of bullying.
Inside, some teachers are still locked in classrooms with students. At least one of the teachers is in contact with the Eco-Cobra unit.
Interior Minister Gerhard Karner has arrived at the scene. The tragedy occurred ten days before the tenth anniversary of the Graz massacre: on June 20, 2015, a man drove a car at 100 kilometers per hour into a crowd of people. A man and a woman aged 28 and 24, as well as a four-year-old child, lost their lives.
Authorities have not yet provided full details on the motives or the identity of the perpetrator. Investigations are ongoing.
