Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that Ukrainian special forces have struck the headquarters of the FSB, the Russian intelligence and internal security agency, in the part of the Kherson region that is under Moscow's control.
According to Zelensky, a Russian Pantsir-S1 air defense system was also destroyed during the operation. The Ukrainian head of state published a video of the attack on the social network X, while emphasizing that the operation caused significant losses to Russian forces.
"Thanks to this single operation, Russian losses amount to about a hundred killed and wounded," Zelensky declared.
He added that Russia must feel the pressure to end the war, warning that Ukraine's attacks and medium- and long-term "sanctions" against Russian targets will continue.
"The Russians should feel the need to end this war. The medium- and long-term 'sanctions' imposed by Ukraine will continue to function," the Ukrainian president said, referring to the recent operations of Kiev's armed forces.
