Will there be a meeting with Putin? Zelensky: I will not discuss historical issues with him!

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has said he would refuse to discuss historical issues during any potential meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Putin has emphasized the shared history between the neighboring countries and argued that Moscow has a duty to protect the Russian-speaking minority in Ukraine.
He has also stressed that a future peace agreement must address the root causes of the conflict, including the mistreatment of Russian-speakers in Ukraine and Kiev's plans to join NATO.
During an interview with Piers Morgan on Wednesday, Zelensky said he didn't want to hear about Putin's reasoning. "Regarding history, I don't want to waste time on these issues," he said. "It's not interesting to me at all why he started this war. I don't want to talk about it because I don't have time," Zelensky added.
The Ukrainian leader then continued with a speech filled with insults, saying: “I don’t need to waste time on historical issues, the reasons why he started the war, all the nonsense he’s raising with the Americans, etc. To end this war and find a diplomatic path, I don’t need all these historical nonsense, really.”
The Kremlin has said that Putin is open to a meeting with Zelensky, but only during the final stage of negotiations to sign a peace treaty.
