Greece hit by another earthquake, epicenter and magnitude

Greece was hit today (February 19) by another earthquake.

The earthquake, which was assessed as moderately strong, had its epicenter in Messinia. The impact force was 4.4 on the Richter scale.

The tremors were strong enough to cause fear and panic among residents of the area. But there are still no reports of injuries or damage.

According to the Geodynamic Institute, the epicenter of the earthquake is located 9 kilometers west of Gargaliana, while the focal depth is estimated at 11.4 kilometers.

In recent weeks, Greece has been hit by frequent earthquakes in all its areas, mainly in the northwest and in the Crete area.
