Saudi Arabia restores full capacity of main oil pipeline after attacks on energy infrastructure

Saudi Arabia has restored full operational capacity to its main east-west pipeline, following attacks that damaged the facility and energy infrastructure on Thursday.
Saudi Arabia's Energy Ministry announced that the attacks disrupted the transport of around 700,000 barrels of oil per day through this strategic pipeline.
Due to rising tensions and risks in the region, Saudi Arabia has recently been forced to redirect a significant portion of its oil exports away from the Strait of Hormuz, where maritime transport has been significantly reduced, making greater use of the east-west pipeline that sends oil to a terminal in the Red Sea.
The Saudi ministry also announced that the Manifa production facility, near the coast, has returned to operation, while repair work is still ongoing at the Khurais oil field inland.
