Iran's top official reveals key demands to end conflict with US

Iran is seeking war reparations and control over the Strait of Hormuz as the main demands for reaching a final agreement, First Vice President Reza Aref has stated.

According to him, during talks held in Islamabad, which ended without agreement, Tehran demanded recognition by the United States of Iranian authority over transit in this vital maritime corridor.

Aref stressed that securing "authority in the Strait of Hormuz" and pursuing reparations for the damages caused by American and Israeli attacks are, according to him, "the rights of the Iranian people."

In a reaction on social media, he added that these demands represent an unwavering commitment to strengthening Iran.
