Prime Minister Edi Rama said in his podcast "Flasim" that in the coming days, Albania will receive an EU report on public procurement. During his speech, Rama emphasized that this report analyzes the overall panorama of public procurement in our region, where according to him, Albania ranks first in terms of improvements.
Rama said, among other things, that this report will be able to show the public how far-fetched all that is being said and done about the government's ties to corruption is.
"I want to share with you the pleasure of receiving these days a very significant report from the European Union, through the relevant SIGMA and OECD instrument, which has also analyzed the general panorama of public procurement in our region, where Albania stands out with its improvements.
Through figures and facts, we will also be able to show the public how far off all that is being said and exaggerated is, feeding a negative perception regarding Albania's relationship with corruption and regarding the position of this majority towards corruption, in relation to the reality of concrete facts and figures, identified and listed not by the government or its experts, but by a reliable and qualitative instrument of the European Union, with all the necessary professional integrity to show what the truth is.
Even in what connects public procurement with the transparency and quality of the mechanisms that put them to use for the good and in the interest of the public, Albania once again stands out as the first in our region, " said Rama.
