Bosnian police have arrested three people suspected of being involved in a child trafficking ring.
According to foreign media, Bosnian authorities found 31 children in a house in the northwestern town of Birčko.
The children, including infants, were taken to a safe place, police said, while three people have been arrested on suspicion of committing the criminal offenses of "human trafficking, child trafficking and abuse of minors."
In neighboring Croatia, authorities said six of the rescued children had Croatian passports but had not previously been reported missing.
The investigation is continuing to fully uncover the case and punish the perpetrators.
