Erdogan shocks Europe, creates a party in Germany and invites Muslims to join him

With a surprising political move, the Turkish president, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, has shocked the Europeans, as he has created a political party in Germany, which has at the core of its program the fight against anti-Muslim racism.
The new party, which is expected to compete in June's European elections, will be called the Democratic Alliance for Diversity and Awakening (DAVA) and was officially established on January 7.
The party is a branch of the AKP party, which is led by the Turkish leader and aims to win the trust of over 1.5 million Turkish voters in Germany, but also other citizens of foreign origin.
The new party is expected to be led by Teyfik Özcan, who has insisted that the party's finances will be provided entirely from within the country, in full compliance with electoral law, as it is illegal in Germany to receive funds from foreign countries.
