European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen has reacted to the Hungarian election, in which Prime Minister Viktor Orban suffered a defeat. She described the citizens' decision as a return of the country to the European path.
In her statement, Von der Leyen emphasized that Europe has always stood by Hungary and that this result reinforces not only the country's orientation towards the European Union, but also the Union itself.
