British MPs banned from Israel/ Accuses them of hate speech, London:

Israel on Saturday evening denied entry to the country to two British Labour MPs, Abtisam Mohamed and Yan Yang, along with their two assistants, and expelled them from the country, causing a diplomatic incident between London and Tel Aviv.

The British government reacted strongly, with Foreign Secretary David Lamy calling the move unacceptable and worrying, while stressing that the two MPs were part of a parliamentary delegation and that they were supported by the Foreign Ministry.

Israeli authorities stated that the two MPs and their British assistants intended to spread hate speech and document the work of security forces.

Israel's interior minister ordered the detention and deportation of two female lawmakers and their assistants after questioning them. According to Tel Aviv, the two lawmakers had taken measures to sanction members of the Israeli government and were therefore not welcome in the country.

The two British MPs who returned to London this Sunday morning said that it was vital for the United Kingdom to see the situation on the battlefield and in the Occupied West Bank.

The British government has made it clear that their primary goal in the Middle East remains achieving a ceasefire and initiating negotiations to end the conflict in Gaza.
