Ukraine attacks refinery and energy infrastructure in Russia

Ukraine's armed forces have announced that they have carried out overnight attacks on energy infrastructure on Russian territory, including refineries in Saratov and a pumping station in the Kirov region.
In a statement published on Telegram, the Ukrainian military said the target of the attacks was the Saratov oil refinery, where a large fire was reportedly caused after the strike.
It was also reported that a pumping station in the Kirov Oblast area, in the Lazarevo locality, part of the oil transportation infrastructure, was also hit.
Ukrainian authorities have justified this type of action as part of operations against infrastructure that supports Russia's military and economic capability in the war.
On the other hand, the Russian side has not yet provided full confirmation of the reported damages, while similar incidents in its industrial regions have become more frequent during the conflict.
Such attacks on energy infrastructure have been a recurring element of the war, aiming to limit the logistical and financial capacities of the opposing side.
