UNICEF: 77 children killed and injured in Lebanon in just one week

In the last week alone, 77 children have been killed or injured in Lebanon as a result of violence and the escalation of the conflict, according to a response published by UNICEF on the social network X.

The organization emphasized that this figure translates into an average of 11 children affected every day, raising the alarm about the severe impact that the conflict is having on the youngest.

"Children must not pay the price of conflict. They must be protected at all times. Hostilities must end," UNICEF Lebanon said in a statement.

UNICEF and other humanitarian agencies have warned that the escalation of violence is endangering the lives and well-being of thousands of children in conflict-affected areas.
