Xhaka's message to critics: We have to play together, everything else has never interested me

Switzerland captain Granit Xhaka has reacted to the criticism that has accompanied him in recent days, making it clear that his attention is focused on his performances on the field of play and the objectives of the national team.

"Switzerland can be proud to have a player with 148 caps, who plays proudly for the nation. Maybe I need this pressure too; it provokes me a little."

Xhaka underlined that his priority remains team harmony and results: "What matters to me is that the team is together. We have to play together, everything else has never interested me. What happens on the pitch is the only thing that matters."

In the end, Xhaka was clear about his motivation: "I am here for success and I will continue to seek it as long as I am part of this team."
