Zelensky: Ukraine-Russia-US talks expected to resume next week on territorial issues

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that trilateral talks with the United States and Russia will resume "next week," focusing mainly on hot issues related to the territorial concessions that Moscow is demanding.

Zelensky explained that the meetings are expected to take place on Tuesday or Wednesday, but it is not yet clear whether Russia will agree to them being held in the United States, Bloomberg reports.

The Kiev leader added that neither the Russian nor the Ukrainian side supports the US proposal to create a free economic zone in the eastern Donbas region.

"If it is our territory, then the country that controls it should govern it," Zelensky declared, emphasizing Ukraine's strong position on its territorial sovereignty.
